SRHR session during School Based Integrated Health Campaign

SRHR Session: Bringing Health and Rights to Schools

The Kenyan Ministry of Health is pushing to improve sexual and reproductive health (SRH) services for young people. But the reality? Barriers like limited access to info and unprepared healthcare providers still stand in the way.
Many teens miss out on essential SRH care. Policies meant to help often fall flat, leaving youth needs unmet. That’s where IHOPE Foundation steps in—visiting schools to make a difference.
We’re all about Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR). Why? It’s key to Universal Health Coverage (UHC) and backs Kenya’s Constitution—Article 43(1)(a)—which promises everyone top-notch health, including reproductive care.

Since 2013, we’ve hit the ground running in Siaya, Migori, and Homa Bay counties. Our School Based Integrated Health Campaigns bring SRHR sessions straight to students.

The result? Healthier kids, better school attendance, and a brighter future.
Here’s what we’ve done: reached 4,000+ boys and girls with real SRH facts. We’ve used sports to spark open talks—making it fun and relatable. Plus, our toll-free hotline, Aunty Jane, offers confidential support anytime.
These school visits bridge gaps—education, access, and provider skills. We’re empowering teens to choose wisely and stay healthy. It’s not just a campaign; it’s a foundation for Kenya’s next generation.
Want to see change? Join us as we keep hitting schools, one SRHR session at a time.
